Mary A. (Whitmore) Miller

Mary A. “Babe” (Whitmore) Miller, 83, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at her residence in Newberry Twp. She was the wife of William K. Miller to whom she was married for 58 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2PM, Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Charles W. Yost of Goldsboro Church of God. A visitation will be held from 1-2PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Parkville Cemetery. Born July 2, 1934 in York, she was a daughter of the late Emory C. and Anna B. (Hoeflich) Whitmore. She was a loving and dedicated homemaker to her husband and sons. A member of the former Parkville Church of the Living God, she also liked to travel with her husband. She enjoyed working in her yard, tending to her garden and taking care of her flowers. Above all else she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Miller also is survived by three sons, Allen L. Miller and his wife, Connie of Lachine, MI, Scott E. Miller and his wife, Lori of Newberrytown and Brian K. Miller of Elizabeth City, NC; three grandchildren, Cody, Charlie, and Casey. She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Brown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, Pa 17110.
