Mary A. "Toni" Kessler

YORK- Mary A. “Toni” (Shortino) Kessler, 88, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Walter L. Kessler, who passed away in 1999. Toni was born in York on July 15, 1929, the daughter of the late Frank and Edith (Liotta) Shortino. She worked at the former Wm. Bernstein and Colebrook Terry Sewing Factories as a seamstress. Toni was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in York, AARP, and was past president of International Ladies Garment Workers Union, local #196 in Harrisburg. Toni leaves three sons, Lee Kessler and his wife Jamie, Larry Kessler and his wife Linda, and Eddy Kessler and his wife Lori; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Nina Delia, Virginia Ward, and Angie Hicks; many nieces and nephews, and great friends, especially Doug and Heather Kreitz, Bryce and Meryssa Love, Sam and Sue Null, Stef Crone, Sherry Walton and Sue Lattuca. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Joey Kessler and two sisters, Josephine Burnside and Jenny Sheridan The family would like to thank White Rose Hospice for all of their loving care. Mom will be missed by all of the lives she touched. She had many loving friends. Memorial contributions may be made to White Rose Hospice, 1412 6th Ave. York, PA 17403.
