Mary A. (O'Malley) Kelly

AVOCA-Mary A. (O'Malley) Kelly, formerly of Avoca, died Monday morning at Mountain Rest Nursing Home, where she was a resident. Born in Scranton on March 1, 1917, she was the daughter of the late John Joseph and Mary Viola (Brown) O'Malley. She was a graduate of Moosic High School and Lackawanna Business College. Prior to retiring, she was employed by Tobyhanna Army Depot. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Avoca. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene F., in 1981; brother Colonel William O'Malley; and sister Mildred Sileo. She is survived by her brother, John O'Malley, Jr., Florida; cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in Cathedral Cemetery Chapel, Scranton, with the Reverend Joseph Elston officiating. Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main Street, Avoca, is in charge of arrangements.
