Mary A. (Husson) Wert

DOVER – Mary Anna (Husson) Wert, 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Thursday, June 18, 2015. She was the wife of the late Wallace H. Wert, to whom she was married for many years. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held 11AM, Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with Pastor Elmer Spear officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8PM, Monday, June 22, 2015 at the funeral home, and from 10-11AM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. A gathering will be held following the services at the Shiloh American Legion, 1490 Poplars Road, York. Born December 18, 1936 in York, she was a daughter of the late Earl Allan and Anna Katherine Lightcap. Mary retired from Dentsply where she worked for 20 years as a mold-cutter. Mrs. Wert was a feisty and social woman. She enjoyed camping, the ocean, and playing solitaire. Mary was an avid reader, and most importantly, was dedicated to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary is survived by three daughters, Rae Tulley and husband Raymond of Lafayette, TN, Tina. Husson of Lebanon, and Ronda L. Zink and husband Edward Jr. of Dover; four grandchildren, Edwin F. Heck of Pittsburgh, Ruthann Missimer and husband Jason of Hamburg, Edward C. Zink III of Baldwinville, MA, and Cristopher M. Zink of Dover; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roy L. Lightcap and wife Stephanie of Marietta, Kenneth E. Lightcap and wife Stephanie of New Baden, IL; one sister, Sally Schroph of Columbia; two sisters-in-law, Mable and Mary Jane Lightcap; and one cousin, Fabion Husson and wife Nancy. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert “Butch” and William “Bill” Lightcap; two sisters, Joanne E. Fetters, and Beverly Anne Lightcap; her grandmother, Maryanna Fuller; and her great-aunt, Margaret Miller. Memorial contributions may be made to your local library.
