Mary A. (Crawford) Posey

CHANCEFORD TOWNSHIP- Mary A. (Crawford) Posey, 85, of Windsor, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Harry J. Posey. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2335 Cramer Rd. in Brogue, with a viewing from 9:30-11a.m at the church. Her pastor, The Reverend John B. Ferra, Jr. will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Posey was born in Chanceford Township on January 29, 1925, a daughter of the late Howard L. and Lustie Catherine (Shaull) Crawford. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Posey was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brogue. She enjoyed making handmade quilts as gifts for weddings, births, and donating them for church bazaars. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, and country music. Mrs. Posey leaves three sons, Don Posey and his wife Connie of York, Jerry Posey and his wife Marsha of Windsor, and Dan Posey and his wife Sue of Red Lion; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren, two sisters, Dauris M. Gross and her husband John of Felton and Norma J. Bupp and her husband Laverne of Brogue; and two sisters-in-law, Cecelia Crawford and Catherine Workinger. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Crawford, Richard Crawford, and Cleason Shaull.
