Red Lion-Marvin L. Workman, 84, passed away December 6, 2010 at his residence in Red Lion Borough. He was the husband of the late Clara L. (Wagoner) Workman and the late Marian L. (Arnold) Workman. A celebration of life tribute will be 10 AM Friday, December 10, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Mr. Workman\'s son, Ronnie L. Workman officiating. Viewings will be held from 7-9 PM Thursday and from 9-10 AM Friday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, with full military honors provided by the Dallastown American Legion Honor Guard. Born April 22, 1926 in Jaycox, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Myles A. and Millie (Green) Workman. He was employed with Anchor Motor Freight for 17 years as a truck driver until his retirement in 1978. He was a United States Navy veteran and proudly served during both World War II and the Korean War. A member of the Dallastown American Legion Post-605, he was also a member of Red Lion V.F.W Post-543, Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Red Lion and a 30 year member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed bowling, reading, fishing, watching baseball and was an avid Penn State football fan. Mr. Workman is survived by five children, Ronnie L. Workman and wife, Linda of York, Donna S. Flaharty of Red Lion, Steven A. Workman and companion, Kris of Virginia, Kathy M. Grove and companion, Russ of Stewartstown and Kandy K. Norris and husband, Ron of Red Lion, three step sons, Robert L. Lutz Sr., of Red Lion, Ernest E. Horton of Red Lion and L. Michael Haugh and wife, Theresa of Brogue, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one step son, Larry E. Lutz Sr., 3 brothers and 2 sisters. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Voice of the Martyrs, P.O. Box 443, Bartlesville, OK 74005-0443.
