Martha W. (Wolfgang) Snyder

Martha W. (Wolfgang) Snyder, 86, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011 at her residence that she shared with her loving daughter, Barbara. She was the wife of the late Luther H. (Jack) Snyder. Born February 22, 1925 in York, a daughter of the late Washington and Edna Irene (Ness) Wolfgang and Cora Straw who was her guardian after her parents passed away. Mrs. Snyder was a 1943 graduate of William Penn Senior High School; and a former employee of Hanna Dry Cleaners, Red Lion and Lancashire Nursing Home, Lancaster. Mrs. Snyder enjoyed crocheting, reading, and tending to her flower gardens. She was very fond of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time and spoiling them. Mrs. Snyder is survived by two daughters, Carole A. Eshbach and husband, Terry of Millersville, and Barbara L. Snyder of Dallastown; two grandchildren, Michael T. Knaper and wife, Tiffany M. of Yoe, and Kellye M. Herbert and husband, Christopher M. of Mt. Joy; three great grandchildren, Holly R. and Ashley J. Herbert, and Logan M. Knaper and one great grandchild on the way; and her two cats, Dexter and MacKenzie. A celebration of life service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Rev. Stephanie Seachrist officiating. A viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Red Lion Cemetery.
