Martha W. White

Martha W. (White) White, 98, formerly of Hazard, KY passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the home of her daughter in York, PA. She was the wife of the late Allison White. Born March 26, 1920 in Whick, KY; she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Evelyn (Sizemore) White. Mrs. White had worked as the store manager at Cato’s Dress Shop in Hazard. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bonnyman and taught Sunday School for over 40 years. Martha read the complete Bible at least three times and enjoyed attending Bible study classes. She was a wonderful seamstress and loved crocheting baby blankets to donate and fine crocheted Christmas ornaments and bookmarks. Mrs. White is survived by a daughter, Dannie and husband William Del Grande of York, PA; two sons, Matt and wife Pamela White of Hamilton, OH and Mack White of Franklin, OH; six grandsons, William Dwayne Del Grande, Gregory Alan Del Grande, George Phillip Del Grande, Brian White, Aaron White and Chad White; and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nagonda White. Memorial services will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.
