YORK – Martha R. (Rudy) Ketterman, 84, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 at Rest Haven – York. She was the wife of the late Ray E. Ketterman. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with her pastor, The Rev. Kevin T. Shively officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-5:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Chapel. Born July 30, 1927 in Emmitsburg, MD, a daughter of the late Arthur and Lila May (Kretzinger) Rudy, she was a 1945 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Mrs. Ketterman had worked at Dentsply, Intl. for 23 years and Fox Ridge Manor for three years. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and its Circle Group; the 45’ers Group from William Penn High; volunteered at local grade schools; and particularly enjoyed spending time talking, eating, and socializing with all of her family. She had formerly been a longtime member at Friedensaal Lutheran Church in Seven Valleys. Martha will be remembered most by those who knew and loved her for her wonderful sense of humor, her warm hospitality and her very strong, unwavering, unconditional love and commitment to her late husband as well as her family. Mrs. Ketterman is survived by a son, Samuel A. and wife Shelia Ketterman of Moyock, NC; three daughters, Martha J. and husband Dennis Cleaver of York, Ruth C. and husband Harold Klinedinst of Allentown, and Anne M. and husband Rick Thoman of Seven Valleys; 12 grandchildren, Christa Deardorff, Alyssa Westmoreland, Jeffrey Cleaver, Gretchen Furst, Martin Klinedinst, Kyle Thoman, Alison Fasick, Lauren Fuhrman, Ashley Osborne, Ashton, Dillon, and Jaclyn Ketterman; 16 great grandchildren, Joel, Samuel, and Jack Deardorff, Ella, Luke, and Eve Westmoreland, Michael and Olivia Cleaver, Marina and Lila Furst, Jacob and Emma Klinedinst, Marissa Fasick, Kaila and Klara Thoman, and Ava Fuhrman; and her former daughter in law, Sherrill Nardontonia. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas C. Ketterman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Martha may be directed to the charity of your choice.
