Martha M. (Mccleaf) Sneeringer

YORK- Martha M. (McCleaf) Sneeringer, 88, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at her home. She was the wife of the late Francis P. Sneeringer, to whom she was married 59 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM on Friday, July 20, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Rd., York, with a viewing from 9 to 10AM. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., York, is in charge of arrangements. Born June 6, 1930 in Franklin, Martha was a daughter to the late John W. and Edna Mary (McDannel) McCleaf. She enjoyed going to the beach and baking, especially her famous homemade apple pie. Martha loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She had an awesome sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Sneeringer is survived by a son, John J. Sneeringer of York; two daughters, Constance K. Landis and her husband Raymond of Cashtown, and Mary D. Yohe of York; four grandchildren, Dr. Justine Larson, Dr. Ryan Landis, Ashley Mattern, and Lauren Yohe; a great grandson who is expected in September; a brother, Grover McCleaf, and three sisters, Anna Swope, Lake Poe, and Vickie Gauther. In addition to her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by four brothers, Lott, Jacob, Dale and John McCleaf, and three sisters, Myrtle Bell, Ruth Bender, and Mildred Kepner.
