RED LION - Martha L. (Mellinger) Hake, 95, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Victorian Villas in Dallastown. She was the wife of the late J. Perry Hake. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 28, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Rev. Curtis R. Weber officiating. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 AM Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Winterstown EUB Cemetery. Born February 8, 1914 in Shrewsbury Twp., a daughter of the late John F. and Irene M. (Jones) Mellinger, she had been a seamstress for Red Lion Garment Co. Mrs. Hake worked as a Practical Nurse and enjoyed volunteering as a Brownie leader for Girl Scouts of America. She would often be found tending to her roses and garden, and crocheting. She was a former member of York Gospel Center where she was a helper with their Mothers of Preschoolers program, and a former member of Winterstown EUB Church where she taught Sunday school. Mrs. Hake is survived by two sons, Robert L. and wife Betty Hake of Red Lion and David P. and wife Linda Hake of Dallastown; a daughter in law, Nazimova Hake of Brogue; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Mellinger of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by a son, Mervin Hake.
