Martha J. (Kohr) Peters

Red Lion-Martha J. (Kohr) Peters, 87, passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Philip R. Peters, Sr. A graveside tribute service will be 3 PM Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Prospect Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Starr, officiating. Family and friends wanting to attend are asked to meet at the Pennsylvania Ave entrance of the cemetery at 2:45 PM. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born September 12, 1923 in York, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Fannie (Smith ) Kohr. She was a loving and caring homemaker for her family and for a few years worked at a pretzel bakery in York. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and cleaning. Mrs. Peters is survived by one son, Barry L. Peters and wife, Jolie of Red Lion, one daughter, Michelle J. Peters and friend, Robert of Thomasville, one granddaughter, Sharon M. Anderson and husband, Eric of Red Lion, one brother, Paul Kohr of Florida and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Philip R. Peters Jr., and her brothers and sisters, George, Mick, Gloria, Mary, Pauline, Robert and Zip.
