Martha E. Witt

Mill Hall - Martha E. (Caudill) Witt, 81 of W. Church Street, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at her residence. She was born January 25, 1928 in Harlan, KY the daughter of Finley and Varlie Markle Caudill. She was preceded in death by her husband James Herman Witt in 1991. She was a member of Mill Hall Church of Christ, Mill Hall Senior Citizens and enjoyed day trips with senior groups. She was an avid gardener and was a great cook she also loved to travel. Martha loved family time especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are one son Mitchell L. "Mickey" (Sharon) Witt of Lebanon, OH one daughter Brenda (Jim) Craft of Beech Creek Eight grandchildren, seventeen grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Four brothers Paul Caudill of Winter Haven, Fl, Silas Caudill, Harlan, KY, Edward Caudill of Connersville, Indiana, Larry Wayne Caudill of Harlan, KY also two sisters Lilly Griffey of Connersville, Indiana and Irene Hensley of Somerset, KY Numerous nieces and nephews survive. She was preceded in death by a son James Wendell Witt also three brothers and one sister. A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Rev. James Redmon officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Susquehanna Hospice. Private interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
