Martha C. (Raubenstine) Stine

YORK - Martha C. (Raubenstine) Stine, 78, died Friday, August 8, 2008 at York Lutheran Home. She was the wife of the late Clair L. Stine. A Celebration of Life service will be held 1PM Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Shiloh Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2201 Church Road, York with her pastor The Rev. Kathy A. Swords officiating. A viewing will be held from 11-1 PM Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, York is in charge of arrangements Mrs. Stine was born February 5, 1930 in Hanover, a daughter of the late Ralph E. and Minnie A. (Hilbert) Raubenstine. She retired from the Rehab Hospital of York. Mrs. Stine was an active member of Shiloh Evangelical Lutheran Church where she served on both church council and the alter guild. She also volunteered with the Women's Auxiliary selling daffodils and was involved in various craft projects at church. She was a member of AARP and participated in the West Manchester Mall Walkers group and bingo through Kelly Manor with the Lutheran Home. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, reading, doing crossword puzzles and needle point. Mrs. Stine is survived by a son, Randy L. and wife Donna L. Stine of Sinking Springs; a daughter, Sandra L. and husband Michael E. Lehman of Spring Grove; five grandchildren, Jessica L. Lehman of Philadelphia, Christina M. Lehman of Souderton, Amanda M. and Andrea M. Stine of Sinking Springs, and Angela N. and husband Brian E. Rainey of Mechanicsburg; a sister Vivian (Raubenstine) Swam of Hanover; three brothers, Donald Raubenstine of Hanover, Clair Raubenstine of Huntingdon Valley, and Richard Raubenstine of Dover; and twenty-two nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2201 Church Road, York, PA 17408.
