FAIRVIEW TWP. - Marlet W. Hughes, 95, died at 7 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2010, with his family by his side. He was the husband of Madaline R. (Stough) Hughes who died March 4, 2005. The couple celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on December 29, 2004. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rohler's Assembly of God, 761 Rohler's Church Rd., Dover with his pastor, the Rev. Edward J. Rowand, officiating. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hughes was born March 15, 1915, in Dover. He was the son of the late Charles B. and Catherine (Mummert) Hughes. He was a Charter Member of Rohler's Assembly of God and was a farmer for 67 years, retiring at the age of 91. He also enjoyed hunting. Surviving are his four daughters, Shirley H. Radunz, wife of the late Dwaine Radunz, of Lemoyne, Marilyn Y. Freeland and her husband, Walter of Dillsburg, Catharine H. Feidt and her husband, Melvin of Lower Allen Twp., and Shelva J. Hendricks and her husband, Michael of Harrisburg. He also leaves six grandchildren, Kimberly R. Radunz, Julie K. Forst, David D. H. Freeland, Michelle E. Shrum, Melissa J. Heagy and Charity N. Hendricks; one step-grandson, Mitchell A. Feidt; three great grandchildren, Austin N. and Cassidy J. Fuller and Angela J. Heagy; one step-great grandson, Mitchell A. Feidt, Jr.; and a sister, Mildred Crone of Dover. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rohler's Assembly of God Mission Fund, 761 Rohler's Church Rd., Dover, PA 17315.
