Marlene M. (Lindstrom) Kerr

YORK- Marlene M. (Lindstrom) Kerr, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at her son’s residence. She was the wife of the late William R. Kerr who died on May 28, 2017. The couple had been married for 63 years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2740 Roosevelt Ave., York with Pastor Jesse Loggans officiating. A visitation will be from 11 am.-12 p.m. at the church. A private burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.

Marlene was born on October 14, 1934 in Quincy, Illinois. She was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Dollie Mae (Smith) Lindstrom. Marlene was a homemaker who delighted in taking care of her family. She also visited and volunteered in various nursing homes over the years.

Marlene attended Calvary Baptist Church for over 25 years. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. Another passion was traveling the world with her husband. They traveled to 45 countries and 44 states.

Mrs. Kerr is survived by her three children, Scott L. Kerr and his wife, Arlene of York, Robin C. Blair and her husband, Andrew of York and Paul D. Kerr and his wife Susan of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren, Matt, Adam, Wendy, Megan, Seth, Hannah and Josh; and 10 great grandchildren.
