Mark P. Scott Troy - Age 91, of Troy , PA , passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010, at the Bradford County Manor. He was born October 31, 1918 in Troy , PA , son of the late John and Helen ( Rogers ) Scott. Mark was a graduate of Troy High School and while there was very active in FFA. He was married to the late Louise S. (Smiley) Scott. Mark was well known for his work in the dairy industry. He held the Pennsylvania Farmers Degree and was the oldest living recipient of the American Farmers Degree. He and his brother worked the Scott Brothers Holstein farm for many years. He was well known in the United States and Canada as a cattle dealer. His memberships included Troy Presbyterian Church, Austinville Odd Fellows Club, Troy Rod & Gun Club, and was a member of the Morning Coffee Club at the Edgewood Restaurant where he shared many good times with his friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and was especially proud of the vegetable and flower gardens he raised. Mark was a devoted family man and loved every moment that he spent with his family. Survivors include his daughters, Cheryl S. Miller of Troy , PA , Nancy S. Jennings of Troy , PA ; a son, David F. and Rosetta Scott of Smithville , TN ; sisters-in-law, Gladys Scott and Ruth S. Wells both of Troy , PA ; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends. Mark was predeceased by his wife, Louise S. Scott in 2000, a son Jerry L. Scott in 2001; son-in-law, Ronald Jennings in 1992; his brothers, Fred, Russell, Elmer, George, Ernest and Clarence Scott. Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, May 20, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 110 West Main Street , Troy , PA. Mark's funeral service will be held at 12 Noon with Reverend Arthur Suggs officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery where Mark will be laid to rest next to his loving wife Louise. In lieu of flowers, memorials are directed to the First Presbyterian Church, West Main Street , Troy , PA 16947 .
