YORK – Mark Kreiser, 68, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Martha J. (Sparger) Kreiser to whom he was married for 21 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Pastor Ed Short officiating. Viewings will be held from 7-9:00 PM Friday and 9-10:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 9, 2017 in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Born July 27, 1948 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Elmer W. and Mary Jean (Feltch) Kreiser, he was retired from York/Adams MH-MR where he was an Intensive Case Manager and Counselor. Mark proudly served in the US Army during The Vietnam War. He was a member and Jr. Vice President of West Manchester VFW Post 7374. Mark was a 1966 graduate of Columbia High School where he played on the baseball, football, and basketball teams. He was a member of two District III basketball championship teams and was a Lancaster Co. high school all-star baseball player. He enjoyed his dachshund dogs; was an avid salt water and trout fisherman; he loved the mountains, the seashore; but most of all as a 1974 graduate of Penn State, he enjoyed watching Penn State football. In addition to his wife, Mr. Kreiser is survived by a stepson, Jason R. and wife Neyi Voss of Centerville, VA; two stepdaughters, Larisa C. and husband Eric Senft and Marina M. and husband William Wilder both of York; six grandchildren, Ashley, MaLayia, Austin, Zane, Zander and Zavier; four great grandchildren, Hayden, Braylee, Zayden and Zoey; four brothers, Steven, Karl, Keith, and Greg Kreiser all of Columbia; and three sisters, Barbara Mowrer of Columbia, Karen Honberger of Bainbridge and Kristine Eveler of York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Columbia Education Foundation, PO Box 548, Columbia, PA 17512 or to West Manchester VFW Post 7374, 4800 W. Market St., York, PA 17408.
