Mark G. Shaw

Red Lion-Mark G. Shaw, 50, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 27, 2011 after his lengthy illness with Multiple Sclerosis. Mark lived in York Township with his mother who was also his caregiver. A Celebration of Life Service will be 6 pm, Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey, officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-6 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Military honors will be provided by the Dallastown American Legion. Born February 3, 1961 in Red Lion, he was a son of Gloria R. (Eisenhour) Shaw of Red Lion and Guy M. Shaw of Red Lion. Before being diagnosed early in life with Multiple Sclerosis, Mark served proudly in the United States Navy for 9 years. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, especially \"GTO\'s\", and enjoyed fishing. Mark is also survived by his daughter, Jessica R. Shaw of Dallastown, one grandson, Trey Collins, two brothers, Matthew and Steven Shaw, both of Red Lion and his best friend and former wife, Wanda J. Gemmill of York.
