DALLASTOWN- Mark D. Mundis, Jr., 86, died on Monday, May 10, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Thelma M. (Fauth) Mundis to whom he was married for 54 years until her passing in 2014. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Chaplain Donald K. Alspaugh officiating. A viewing will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Windsor Church of God Cemetery. Born on January 29, 1935 in Winterstown, he was the son of the late Mark D. and Lottie (Smeltzer) Mundis, Sr. After growing up on a farm, Mark worked and retired as a welder from Acco Chain. After retiring, he worked at Performance Steel. Mr. Mundis was a life member of Windsor Church of God. He was also a member of Yorkanna Game & Gun Club and Springfield Beagle Club. Mark was an avid hunter, enjoyed snowmobiling, baseball, Hank Williams and reminiscing about his old cars. Mr. Mundis is survived by his son, Tony Mundis and his wife, Jami of Dallastown; daughter, Kim Grove and her husband, Bob of York; granddaughter, Brittany Mundis of Delaware; two step grandchildren, Rilee Hall and Jack Hall, III; brother, Curvin “Joe” Mundis of Wrightsville; and two sisters, Helen Markle of Freysville and Esther Grove of York. He was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Richard Mundis; and sister, Betty McKinley.
