Marjorie J. (Murphy) Dillman

York--Marjorie J. Dillman, 88, died peacefully at home surrounded by her three children and her devoted caregiver, Pauline. She was the wife of the late John Dillman. She was born on June 14, 1923 in Frackville, PA, the daughter of the late Roy and Nancy Murphy. She is survived by three children, Thomas J. Dillman of New York, NY, Richard A. Dillman of Deerfield Beach, FL, and Nancy A. Klahold of Seven Valleys; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Walter Murphy and a sister, Ann Bruzewski. Marjorie was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in York. She was also employed for 23 years by Bon-Ton Dept. Stores at the North Mall and West Manchester Mall. Funeral services will be held 10AM, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Deborah L. Volker with burial to follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 9-10AM, Wednesday at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank VNA Hospice and Deannie Taylor King Personalized Home Caregivers, Pauline Forbes, Karen Wentz, Melissa Shoenberg and Deannie King for their tender care, compassion and support of Marjorie the last few years and especially, the last few weeks during her final illness.
