Marjorie (Gross) Coughenour

YORK – Marjorie (Gross) Coughenour, 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 15, 2013 at York Lutheran Home at Kelly Manor. She was the widow of Robert J. Coughenour, her beloved husband of over 50 years. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Mt. Rose Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the Mt. Rose Avenue entrance of the cemetery at 10:45 AM. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born January 7, 1922 in Woodstock, VA a daughter of the late Luther W. and Myrtle A. (Moon) Gross, she retired from Penn Textile Corp. in 1980. Mrs. Coughenour was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing cards, knitting, crocheting, and reading. Marjorie is survived by her niece, Joyce and husband Dennis Moser of Carlisle; dear friends, Sandy and Jerry Stearn, and their son, Brock Stearn; and great nieces and nephews.
