Marion M. (Senft) Glover

YORK - Marion M. (Senft) Glover, 90, passed away on Saturday April 17, 2021 at Spiritrust Lutheran homes in York, PA. Marion was the wife of the late John L. Glover. The couple was married on October 2, 1976 in Maywood, IL and were wed for 35 years until John’s passing in 2010. They resided first in Glen Arbor, MI and later in Suttons Bay, MI. Born in York, PA on November 19, 1930, Marion was the daughter of the late John M. and Gertrude A. (Hollinger) Senft. Marion was a musician all of her life. She received her Bachelors in Music from Houghton College in Houghton, New York. Marion was a professional accompanist in secondary education for 40 years. She was also an extremely accomplished organist and provided her musical talents for countless church services, community events and family get togethers over many years. In her spare time, Marion and her husband John enjoyed traveling and visiting a variety of different cities via train rides. She loved gardening and feeding the birds. Marion was known for her bright and cheerful outlook on life and will be missed by all who knew her. Marion is survived by her step-sons, Greg Glover of Illinois, John Glover of Virginia; nephews Daryl Senft of Pennsylvania and Stan Senft of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband John and two brothers, Elmer T. Senft and Stanley H. Senft. Services will be private at the request of the family.
