Wilkes-Barre- Marion Hemingway Bell, formerly of Carlisle Street, Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday, April 12, at Little Flower Manor with her son, Charles, and his wife, Susan, at her side. Marion was born in Wilkes-Barre on January 26, 1909, the daughter of the late E. Edwin and Caroline (Wallace) Hemingway. She was a graduate of Coughlin High School and was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and past president of the Webster Class. She also served as president of the Women of Lions Club. In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Fred C. Bell, Jr.; sister, Carolyn Jones and brother, Robert. She is survived by her sons, F. Charles Bell and his wife Susan, Forty-Fort, R. Bruce Bell and his wife Rose, Factoryville; grandchildren, Ruth Iorio Bell and her husband Jason Wesolowski, Shavertown, Robert Bell and his wife Lori, Sweet Valley, Brian Bell and his wife Lauren, Philadelphia, Karen Gress and her husband Kevin, Clark Summit, Amy Bell, Factoryville; great grandchildren R.J. and Billy Bell, and Lidia Grace Bell. Marion will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a wonderful homemaker and cook and a faithful and dedicated member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. A funeral service will be held Monday at 12:30 PM at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre with Reverend Micki Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Friends may call Monday from 11:30 AM till 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Hanover and Westminster Sts., Wilkes-Barre or Little Flower Manor, 200 South Meade St., Wilkes-Barre.
