Marion E. (Allen) Bond

PLAINS TOWNSHIP- Marion Elizabeth (Allen) Bond, 89, of Wilkes-Barre, died Thursday evening at Valley Crest Nursing Home, Plains Township. Born in Wilkes-Barre on February 19, 1917, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Mary (Davis) Allen. She was a member of Firwood United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre. She worked at Wilkes-Barre Lace Mill for 3 years and then was a homemaker. She was a loving wife. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Davis, George Davis and Jim Davis. Surviving is her husband of 62 years, William John Bond, Wilkes-Barre. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Officiating will be the Reverend Doug Posegate. Interment will follow in Hanover Green Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
