Marion B. (Bennage) Reich

MILTON - Marion B. "Sue" (Bennage) Reich, 89, died on Friday, April 10, 2009 at her residence. Marion was born in New Columbia on November 17, 1919 and was the daughter of the late Willard E. and Maggie L. (Bickel) Bennage. She was a graduate of Milton High School, class of 1937. On February 14, 1942 she married the late Joseph P. Reich, who died in 1966 after celebrating 23 years of marriage. Marion was a secretary for 27 years for the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton and retired in 1994. She also worked at US Rubber in Allenwood, Milton Manufacturing and Adolf Gobbel. She has been a member of the St. Joseph Church since 1941 as an Eucharistic Minister and member of the Parrish Council of Catholic Women. She was involved with the Red Cross, Meals on Wheels for 15 years and the Milton Food Bank. She was a member of the Women's Club and the Evangelical Community Hospital Auxiliary. She held officer positions in many clubs and organizations. Marion is survived by five sons and four daughters-in-law; Joseph P. and Violeta Reich, II of Incirlik-AB, Turkey, Gregory E. and Michele Reich of Easley, SC, Jan E. Reich and his partner Bonnie Travaglini of Rochester, NY, Stephen F. and Robin Reich of Kennesaw, GA and Thomas D. and Roxann Reich of Wichita, KA, three daughters and two sons-in-law; Regina S. Switzer of Doylestown, Stephanie A. and Eugene Stump and Susan M. and Gerald Swanger, all of Milton, 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant son and one brother; Eugene Bennage. A mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Broadway, Milton, with Father Thomas A. Scala as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be a public viewing 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Marion may be made to the Evangelical Home Health Hospice, 1 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837 or to the Milton Auxiliary for Evangelical Community Hospital, c/o Roberta Greiff, Box 169 G, Watsontown, PA 17777.
