Marilyn J. (Dodge) Bridge

York—Marilyn J. (Dodge) Bridge, 78, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014. She was the wife of the late Frederick J. Bridge to whom she was married for a very happy 51 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born March 4, 1936 in Islesboro, ME, she was the youngest of seven daughters of the late Augustus J. and Marjorie L. (Pendleton) Dodge. In addition to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was a good friend to those who knew her. Mrs. Bridge is survived by two sons, Eric A. Bridge and his wife, Melissa of Ashburn, VA and Ryan A. Bridge of Mt. Wolf; six grandchildren, Scott, Garrett, Kate, Isaak, Owen and Alyssa and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Adam L. Bridge and her sisters, Ginny, Ellie, Frieda, Joyce and Beulah. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do something in honor and remembrance of Mrs. Bridge may make memorial contributions to Manchester Twp., Station 24 Fire Police, 3200 Farm Trail Road, York, PA 17406.
