Marie E. (Kern) Storm

WILKES-BARRE- Marie E. (Kern) Storm, 91, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, December 24, 2013, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Wilkes-Barre on June 24, 1922, Marie was a daughter of the late John and Emily (Eustes) Kern. Marie was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre for many years. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by; her husband’s, Charles Norton, Sr, 1950, Joseph Granda, 1956, and Donald A. Storm, Sr., 2001, two sons, Charles Norton, Jr. and Joseph Norton, a daughter, Ann Marie Suleski, a brother, Herbert “Sonny” and two sisters, Grace and Margaret. Surviving to cherish Marie’s memory are; three daughters, Carol Silinski and her husband, John, Plymouth, Peggy Sura, Cleveland, OH, Patti Granda, Shavertown, five sons, William Norton and his wife, Jean, Hudson, FL, Donald Storm, Jr., Ronald Storm and his wife, Debbie, John Storm, all of Wilkes-Barre, Roger Storm and his wife Dawn, Houston, TX, 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, a sister Theresa Sambroski, Wilkes-Barre, several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at the Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, at 10:00AM with Eugene D. Sperazza, CLMC, of Albright United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. Family and Friends are invited to attend a viewing on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM till the time of the service at the funeral home.
