Marie E. (Buckley) Springer

MILTON - Marie E. (Buckley) Springer, 99, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Milton Nursing and Rehab Center, Milton She was born in Danville on November 25, 1914 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Ethel (Lewis) Buckley. Marie married the late George E. Springer on January 25, 1941 and they celebrated 48 years of marriage together until his death on September 08, 1989. Marie was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milton where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; George W. and Kathryn Springer of Baxley, GA, one daughter; June E. Mull of Milton, two grandchildren; Dwayne R. and Laurie A. Mull, three brothers and two sisters-in-law; John Buckley of Silver City, New Mexico, Donald and Ruby Buckley and David and June Buckley, all of Danville, one sister; Gloria Boyer of Lewisburg, along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by two brothers; William and Robert Buckley and one sister; Dorothy Campbell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milton A public viewing will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 06, 2014 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1125 Mahoning Street, Milton, PA 17847, followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Patricia A.T. Pittsnogle officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton. Arrangements are being handled by The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton, PA 17847.
