Marie A. (Garbrick) Emenheiser

WESTMINSTER- Marie A. (Garbrick) Emenheiser, 85, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at Carroll County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Earl E. Emenheiser. A memorial service will be 11am Saturday, December 28, 2007 at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ, 1054 Ridgewood Rd., York with the Rev. Cathy Sherry officiating. A visitation will be 10-11am Saturday at the church. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is assisting with the service. Mrs. Emenheiser was born May 15, 1922 in Springettesbury, a daughter of the late George W. and Alice E. (Spangler) Garbrick. She was a life member at Mt. Zion UCC and a Gray Lady of the American Red Cross. She volunteered in the gift shop at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Emenheiser belonged to the Jolly Dollies card club and liked to play bingo in Pleasant Valley. She crocheted and embroidered. An avid traveler, the only state she has never been in is Alaska. Surviving Marie are her daughter, Suezann and her husband, Maurice Robertson of Westminster, MD; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and one on the way; and a brother, Henry Garbrick of York. A son, Baby Boy Garbrick; a daughter, Barbara Alice; two brothers, Paul and Russell Garbrick and two sisters, Mildred Rickrode and AnnaMay Sowers, precede her in death.
