Marianne (Kobeda) Ross

YORK Marianne (Kobeda) Ross, 69, of York Twp. Died at 6:20 am Friday, July 28, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care, Mt. Joy. She was the wife of Dennis M. Ross with whom she celebrated a 49th wedding anniversary on September 30, 2016. A service to celebrate Marianne’s life will be 10:00 am Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Patty Krauss, chaplain at Hospice & Community Care, officiating. Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Viewings will be 7:00 to 9:00 pm Monday and 9:00 to 10:00 am Tuesday at the chapel. Marianne was born October 26, 1947, in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Muha) Kobeda. She was a loving homemaker who was also an Angel Card Reader for more than ten years. She enjoyed studying history and was only too happy to be the tour-guide when visiting Gettysburg with family and friends. She also enjoyed, gardening, travel, plays and movies, cats and casinos and life in general. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, Jack Kobeda of Atlanta, GA.
