HORSEHEADS, NY- Marian Frances (Vineski) Phillips, 92, formerly of Sylvania and Troy, PA passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the Bethany Village in Horseheads, NY. She was the loving wife of the late Fleming "Ted" Richard Phillips who passed away on October 26, 1982. The couple married May 11, 1940 and had 42 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 3:00-4:00 PM on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Marian's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home with Deacon William Graham officiating. Burial will follow the service in St. John's Cemetery in Troy. Marian was born on October 13, 1916 in Granville Summit, PA, the daughter of the late Frank and Rachel (Wilcox) Vineski. She was a Troy High School graduate and a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Troy. Marian was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Marian is survived by her sons: Richard (Barb) Phillips of DuBois, PA and James Phillips of Montrose, PA, her daughter Diane (Gary) McCarthy of Horseheads, NY six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, her sister Margaret Williams, along with several nieces and nephews. Marian is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ted, and her brothers: Robert and Ted Vineski.
