Marialyce T. Swank

YORK--Marialyce T. Swank, 74, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at York Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held 11:00AM, Tuesday, September 03, 2024 at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 3420 N. Susquehanna Trail, York. Officiating the service will be the Rev. DeAnn Books of Shiloh Lutheran Church. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements.

Born November 26, 1949 in York, she was the daughter of the late Emerson L. and Pauline L. (Rooney) Swank.

In addition to being a dedicated homemaker, she was also employed with the York Community Progress Council in their supplemental food program for Women, Infants and Children, also known as WIC.

A member of the York Area Down’s Syndrome Assoc., and The ARC of PA, she also enjoyed needlework, crossword puzzles and loved to talk.

Ms. Swank is survived by one son, David E. Bunty of York; two brothers, Michael Swank and his wife, Sharon of Dover and Edward Swank of York, one niece, one nephew, one great niece and two great nephews and two step daughters, Yvette L. Anderson and Claudette R. Anderson both of York. She was preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Swank.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Arc of Pennsylvania, 1007 Mumma Rd, Suite 100, Lemoyne, PA 17403.
