YORK- Marguerite L. “Peggy” Penn, 73, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at her home. She was the wife of Robert R. Penn. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, December 31st, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A visitation will be held from 2:30-3:00PM prior to the service. Born April 13, 1943 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Harry Smith and Anna Gabor. She worked for 20 years as a nurse at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore before her retirement in 2008. Mrs. Penn enjoyed needle pointing, crosswords and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Robert, Mrs. Penn is survived by a son, Michael Penn and his wife, Jan; a daughter Judy Penn and her significant other, Charles Brown; four grandchildren, Amber, Ryan, Noah, and Matthew Penn and one great-grandchild, Kameron Future. She is preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Penn. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be to the Kidney Foundation of Central PA, 1500 Paxton Street, Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17104.
