RED LION – Marguerite (Boyd) Keesey, 95, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Misericordia Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Arthur W. Keesey who died in 1988. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 1674 Furnace Road, Brogue with her pastor, The Rev. Joshua T. Beben officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-11:00 AM Saturday at the Church. Burial will follow in Bethel U.M. Cemetery. Born October 23, 1917 in Laurel, Chanceford Twp.; a daughter of the late Daniel and Laura Mae (Dettinger) Boyd, she was a seamstress at Red Lion Sewing Factory and had also provided private house cleaning services. Marguerite was a lifelong member at Bethel U.M. and was active with their Women’s Group. Mrs. Keesey is survived by a daughter, Valerie A. and husband Randy Kreidler of Red Lion; two grandchildren, Tracy Kreidler and Amanda and husband Mark Koppenhaver, II; three great grandchildren, Audrey, Sarah, and Mark Koppenhaver, III; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, LaVerne A. Keesey in 1993; and four sisters, Mildred Strawbridge, Audrey Boyd, Esther Ramsay, and Florence Kopp. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel U.M.
