Margie M. (Hershner) Waltimyer

RED LION - Margie M. (Hershner) Waltimyer, 85 of Windsor Township, parted this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Misericordia Nursing Home after a five-year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the wife of Reed M. Waltimyer and would have celebrated 66 years of marriage on April 20th. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Windsor Church of God, 1125 Manor Rd. in Windsor. Her pastor, The Reverend Anthony Zumbo will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and 10-11 a.m. on Friday, both at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Margie was born in Dallastown on October 12, 1926, daughter of the late Roy and Edna (Hengst) Hershner. She retired from Autokraft Box Corporation in 1989 and was an active member of Windsor Church of God. In passing, Margie leaves to cherish three children, Donna Grove and husband Fred, Kenneth Waltimyer and wife Linda, both of Windsor, and Debra Craley and her husband Greg of Red Lion; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; and a stepsister, Barbara Griffith of New York. She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, a half brother, a stepsister, a stepbrother, and a granddaughter.
