Margarita (Ortiz) Mccoy

WILKES-BARRE-Margarita Ortiz McCoy (Margie, Magita, Gita, 222), 48, of Wilkes-Barre P.A passed away Sunday, December5, 2010. Born in Bronx, New York on June 3, 1962, she was a daughter of Francisca (Pinto)Ortiz and the late Rafael Ortiz. She was a member of Halls Temple Church in Staten Island, New York where she was on the usher board and choir. She was alsoactive with counseling programs for troubled teens in New York. She wasemployed by Price Chopper as a supervisor. She also received an award from the Pennsylvania Governor, Senate, and the House of Representatives for going back to school and receiving her G.E.D. and being a influence to everyone on her way there. Surviving is her husband of 28 years, Jeffery Sr.; children Jeffery Jr., Rafael J., Jeannie(Daughter- in-law), Joshua, Tanyita, Jennifer, Rafael Tevenal William Jr., Anthony, Peter Sr., Luis, Francis, Jonathon and Andy McCoy; grandchildren Rafael, Jermaine, Joshua, Aviona, Gabrilla, Tiana, Rafael Jr., Janaeah,Francisca, Jasir, William, Isiah, Taliyah, Anthony Jr., Tatianna, Alicia, Peter Jr., Luis Jr., Kiara, Giada, Jazaiah, Jayden; Brother Julio Cepada; sisters Marilyn, Vilma, Lillian, Elizabeth, Minerva, and Kathy; goddaughter Andrea Arsenec; a host of family and friends. Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Prospective Church, 66 Broad Street, Pittston. Pastor Samuel Washington will officiate. Friends and family may call Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Kniffen OMalley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
