Margaretta E. "Peggy" Schell

YORK- Margaretta E. “Peggy” (Erwine) Schell, 96, of Manchester Township, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Fred L. Schell. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 1-2 p.m. Her pastor, The Reverend Richard L. Bowers will be officiating at the service. The service will be webcast live and can be viewed by searching Peggy’s obituary at HeffnerCare.com Mrs. Schell was born in Berwick, PA on September 21, 1925, a daughter of the late John W. and Mary E. (Lanning) Erwine. Mrs. Schell was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Emigsville and AARP. She was a great seamstress and loved sewing for her friends and family. She also loved to sing and play the piano. Mrs. Schell leaves a son, Clee A. Ridall of York; a grandson, Curtis Ridall; two great grandchildren, Cameron and Jasmin; and nieces and nephews.
