Margaret T. (Peg) Williams

TROY- Mrs. Margaret T. (Peg) Williams, age 93, of Troy, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa., following a brief illness. Peg was born July 22, 1919 in Troy, Pa., a daughter of the late Francis and Rachel Wilcox Vineski. She graduated from the Troy High School a member of the class of 1937. She married Watson O. Williams of Troy on Oct. 30, 1937 and he predeceased her on Aug. 25, 1994. She was a member of St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Troy and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She was 50-plus year member of the American Legion Brooks Flick Post No. 49 Auxiliary of Troy. Surviving is her daughter A. Doreen (Robert) Hurley of Dushore, Pa.; son Robert F. (Darlene) Williams of Troy; daughter-in-law Marcella L. Williams of Wellsboro, Pa.; sister-in-law Gwen Vineski of Calif.; grandchildren Laura Williams, Brenda Brewster, Shannon Strobridge, Christopher Hurley, Nicholas Hurley and Robert Hurley; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by son Thomas V. Williams in 1996 and a granddaughter Marcy Morseman; a great-grandson Shane Morseman; two brothers Theodore Vineski in 1994 and Robert Vineski in 1996; and a sister Marian Frances Phillips in 2009. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Troy, Pa., with the Rev. Michael McCormick, presiding. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Troy. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
