POTTSVILLE - Margaret Hoffman Schuster Deeter, 80, of Schuylkill Haven, became an angel in Heaven on Saturday after a lengthy illness, and her time of being an angel here on earth came to an end. Maggie, as she liked to be called, was born Feb. 10, 1931 and was a daughter of Charles and Anna Fitting Hoffman.She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hamburg.Maggie loved spending time with her husband, Dale, as well as all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her precious little puppy, Lilly. She was loved by so many through the years and was called "Mom" by most. She had a very sunny disposition and could bring a smile to your face at all times. She was always there to help anyone who needed it with her kind and compassionate ways. She will be deeply missed by her whole family, as well as by anyone who has ever had the good fortune to have known her.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 32 years, Clarence F. Schuster Sr.; a dear and wonderful son, Clarence F. "Buddy" Schuster Jr.; an infant daughter, Anne Marie Schuster; her sister, Claire Golca.Surviving are her loving husband of 18 years, Dale D. Deeter, whom she married Dec. 4, 1992, Schuylkill Haven; son, James E. Schuster and his wife, Ernestine, Mooresville, N. C.; daughter, Linda Wiley and her husband, Thomas, Pottsville; son, John C. Schuster and his wife, Joanne, Pottsville; son, Patrick J. Schuster and his fiancee, Marie Sullivan, Pottsville; daughter, Annette Gliem and her husband, Jeff, Pottsville; son, Charles J. Schuster, Pottsville; son, Dean C. Schuster and his wife, Stacey, Auburn; son, Dennis M. Schuster and his wife, Angie, Saint Clair; two stepsons, Kyle Deeter and Kirk Deeter; a granddaughter, Michaela Schuster, at home; 29 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a niece, Judy Minahan, and a nephew, Charles "Butchie" Golca.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home Inc., Sixth and West Market streets, Pottsville, with the Rev. Darcy Reis officiating. Family and friends may call from 7 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville. Contributions can be made in Margaret's name to Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.
