Margaret "Peggy" Walters

YORK - Margaret “Peggy” (Harlow) Walters, 87, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Norman L. Walters. Born June 25, 1933 in Union City, IN a daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Rice) Harlow, she absolutely loved her career as an elementary school teacher in Indiana and York. Mrs. Walters had a passion for reading and enjoyed playing bridge and other card games. She was a very stylish woman who utilized her passion for interior design and decorating to create a lovely space to entertain friends when she and Norman lived in York. Prior to moving to Cross Keys Village, Peg had been a member at First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed traveling with her husband Norman on business trips. Mrs. Walters is survived by two daughters, Karen S. Kalman of Hemet, CA and Deborah L. Walters of Pueblo, CO; two sons, Jeffery T. and wife Nicole Walters of Stephens City, VA and Jonathan D. Walters and wife Mia Ericsson of Eagle, CO; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a brother, Fred Harlow of Buford, GA. She was preceded in death by a son, David P. Slick.
