Margaret "Peggy" Keller

ETTERS- Margaret “Peggy” (Bankes) Keller, 91, of Newberry Township went to be home with the Lord on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Holy Spirit Hospital. She was the wife of the late Mark R. Keller. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Yocumtown Church of God, 160 Red Mill Rd., Etters, PA 17319. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and 10-11 a.m. on Friday at the church. Pastor Charles Yost and The Reverend Stephanie DiFrancesco will be officiating at the service. Beaver- Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street in Lewisberry is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Keller was born in Harrisburg on February 5, 1927, the daughter of the late Charles and May (King) Bankes. She retired from General Accident Insurance Company. Following high school graduation she had worked as a school teacher. Mrs. Keller was a member of Yocumtown Church of God, where she taught Sunday school and was an elder in the church. She was a 1945 graduate of New Cumberland High School. Mrs. Keller leaves a niece and a nephew whom she helped to raise, Dianne Socks of Williamsport, MD and Chester A. Bankes, Jr. of Rossville, IN; four step children, Jane Albright, Robert Keller, Catherine Macaedo, and Gail Emerson, numerous step grandchildren; a very loving church family; and two nieces who helped care for her, Sharon and Rosie Arnold of Dillsburg, as well as a number of other nieces and nephews.
