Margaret Peg Ransdorf

Margaret "Peg" Ransdorf, age 87, formerly of Renovo, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at Christiana Care Hospital. Margaret was currently residing in Pennsville, New Jersey. Peg was born in Renovo on July 31, 1921, daughter of the late Charles and Anna Pflugfelder Cleveland. She was a homemaker for most of her married life. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Renovo, and was an extraordinary grandmother to her three grandchildren and her four great grandchildren. She enjoyed a very loving and close relationship with her family and was deeply loved by her family and friends. Margaret is survived by her daughter: Barbara (Paul) Ericson of Pennsville, N.Jersey, three grandchildren: Samantha (Jason) Turner of S. Carolina, Danielle (Lewis) Hitzel of Virginia, and Christopher Ericson of Pennsville, N. Jersey. Also surviving are four great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years: Jennings E. "Jiggs" Ransdorf in 2001, and three sisters and two brothers. Memorial services will be held for Margaret on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo, Pa. with Rev. Robert Pickering officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Private family interment will take place in North Bend Cemetery at the family's convenience.
