Margaret M. (Nihart) Embick

S.RENOVO-Margaret (Peggy) M. Nihart Embick, 75 went with the Angels on February 8, 2014 at Lock Haven Extended Care with her family by her side. Born August 31, 1938 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Grace Perry Nihart. Peggy is survived by her husband of 47 wonderful years, Paul R. Embick, South Renovo; a daughter Joy Embick, Renovo; two sons Jay Embick (companion Linda Smith), Connecticut and Jeff (Tracy) Embick, South Renovo; three grandsons Andrew Smith, Florida, Ray and Ryan Embick, Renovo; four granddaughters Renee Embick, Renovo, Jessica Liffers, Nicole and Mya Embick, South Renovo; a brother and sister-in-law Charles (Chuck) and Kelly Nihart, Hyner; several nieces and nephews. Peggy loved taking rides with her husband, fishing, hunting, camping with her grandchildren every summer, attending auctions, yard sales, playing cards and loved life itself. Although Peggy’s best work was being a wife, mother and a wonderful Meme – Peggy worked for many years at Piper Aircraft, waitressed at Yesterday’s through the years when it was the Y.M.C.A. and the Kingsley Inn. She was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at Bucktail Medical Center and the Renovo Hospital and was a private duty nurse over the years and loved caring for others. Peggy was preceded in death by a sister Larae Zuback and a brother James Nihart. Family and friends will be received for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 15 at 3:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 127, 7th Street, Renovo. All are welcome to join the family for a gathering in the church basement immediately following. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lock Haven Extended Care Unit, 24 Cree Drive, Lock Haven, PA 17745. Maxwell Funeral Home, Renovo has charge of arrangements.
