Margaret M. Litz

Lock Haven - Margaret M. "Peggy" Litz, 89 of Fairview Street, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit where she resided since March 30th. She was born April 6, 1919 in Nittany the daughter of Clarence & Matilda (Karichner) Barner. Peggy was married on October 14, 1978 to Carl A. Litz and they celebrated 29 years of marriage together. She worked at the Eagle Wing Snack Bar at Lock Haven University for several years. She was a member of the Mill Hall United Methodist Church and was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the F.O.E. #4298 Lock Haven where she served as past madam president. Surviving are her loving husband Carl one daughter Donna (LeRoy) Gower of Mill Hall also a daughter-in-law Yvonne Rine of Mill Hall. Five grandchildren Steve, Jeff, Belinda, Michele and Jodie Eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson She was preceded in death by a son Larry D. Rine in 2004 and five brothers Pete, Floyd, Harry, Mahlon and Foster and a sister Stella The Funeral service will be held 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Ellen Evans officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
