Margaret M. (Gromel) Whipp

YORK- Margaret M. (Gromel) Whipp, 83, died on Friday, October 7, 2016 at York Hospital. Services for Margaret are private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Born on May 25, 1933 in Wilkes Barre, Ms. Whipp was the daughter of the late Herbert and Margaret (Wint) Gromel. Margaret was a retired cook for McCrory’s Distribution Center. Ms. Whipp enjoyed watching the Baltimore Orioles, traveling and most importantly, spending time with her family. Margaret is survived by one daughter, Peg McWhirter and her husband, Steve, of York; two sons, Bill Whipp and his wife, Heidi, of Felton and Joseph Whipp and his wife, Rochelle, of York; six grandchildren, Mandy Heinz, Michelle Neff, Mike Lloyd, Elysia Adams, Hailey Stauffer, and Matthew Whipp; five great grandchildren; and one brother, Frank Gromel and his wife, Nicki, of Wilkes-Barre. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
