Margaret Jane Jobes

LOCK HAVEN - Margaret Jane Jobes, age 64, of Gastonia, N. Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 2, 2011 in Robin Johnson House in Dallas, N. Carolina. She was born in Berwick, Pa. on September 10, 1946, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Vandermark) Wolfe. She worked as a clerk in the accounts receivable department of the Lycoming County Courthouse for several years. Margaret was a member of the Parkwood Baptist Church in Gastonia and volunteered to assist with many church functions. She was an avid gardener and was an arts and crafts enthusiast. She is survived by William Jobes Sr., sons: Chris (Gail) Jobes of Gastonia, N.C., William Jobes Jr. of Forked River, N. Jersey, daughter: Mary (Cliff) Hogencamp of Brick, N. Jersey, grandchildren: Nick, Ashley, Christopher Jr., Ashley Marie, and Brittany, and a great granddaughter: Kaitlyn. Also surviving is her brother: Ben Witmer of Sunbury, sisters: Carol Rebuck of Lock Haven and Cathy Lebo of Herndon, Pa. and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, Pa. at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 with Pastor Shawn Grubb officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Private family interment will take place in Summerhill Cemetery in Berwick at the family’s convenience.
