Margaret J. Rote

Lock Haven - Margaret J. Rote, 92 a former resident of Flemington passed away Friday, December 5, 2008 at Fullmer's Personal Care Home. She was born February 6, 1916 in Lock Haven. Margaret was married on July 11, 1933 to John V. Rote who died in 1994. She was a lifelong member of Flemington First Church of Christ where she was active in church activities. She was also active in programs for veterans as a member of the Lock Haven Moose, the ladies auxiliary of the VFW and a 46 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived be a son Robert L. Rote of Blanchard and a daughter Linda L. Walters of Swissdale three grandsons Robert V., Brad L., and David S. also a granddaughter Grace M. and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 8, 2008 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday. Interment will be private at Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Flemington First Church of Christ.
