Margaret Isabel Moyer

POTTSVILLE - Margaret I. Moyer, 98, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2009, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Mrs. Moyer was born August 6, 1911 in Pottsville and was the daughter of the late Hiriam and Lida (Ash) Umpelby. She was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School. She was married to the late Orren M. Moyer who died June 1, 1988. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Moyer is survived by: two daughters, Patricia Moyer of Baltimore, Virginia Miggins and her husband, Nicholas, of Baltimore; four grandchildren, Dina Wieczynski of Baltimore, Steven Wieczynski and his wife, Kelly, of Baltimore, and Nicole Pryseski and her husband, Cody, of Baltimore, Kristin Miggins of San Diego, California; one great-grandchild, Austin Pryseski; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Moyer is preceded in death by two brothers, William Umpelby and Herbert Umpelby, and one sister, Ruth Flowers. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11 AM from the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville. The Reverend Storm Hutchinson will officiate. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM until time of service. Interment will be in the Cressona Cemetery.
