Margaret I. (Hanna) Leathers

Margaret I. Leathers, age 85, of Lock Haven, died at the Lock Haven Extended Care Unit on Wednesday, June 1, 2011. She was born in Lock Haven on February 23, 1926, a daughter of the late A. Perry and Jesse (Rich) Hanna. Margaret worked for the Sylvania Company, the Clinton Paper Company, and for the Renninger Hardware Store of Mill Hall. She was an avid Bingo player. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Melvin L. Leathers, two daughters: Judy Schneider of Rochester, N.Y. and Linda Neff of Albequerqe, New Mexico. Also surviving are five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother: Jack Hanna of Woolrich, a sister: Diann (Dick) Steumpfle of Lock Haven, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Joan and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 with Pastor W. Stevens Shipman officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Private family interment will take place in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
